Bergen Place Park

Landscape architecture for a public park in downtown Ballard.
Located in the heart of downtown Ballard, the primary goal for Bergen Park was to reconnect the park to the social infrastructure of the neighborhood. The design celebrates the unique shape of the site, which was formerly underused, and offers civic amenities such as seating, landscaping, lighting and public art.
Stone triangles represent the five countries of Scandinavia and exhibit the names of Scandinavian towns represented in the Ballard community.
